My Persian blog is filtered :(
The fucking morons filtered my Persian blog in Iran today. My English blog got filtered two years ago, but I didn't care, because my target audience was people outside Iran. But it hurts that my dear friends inside Iran can't read my Persian blog anymore. I'm just amazed how stupid these people are who can't stand a simple blog that is mostly about personal life of its author. I was careful not to write radical stuff in my Persian blog, because of the fear of filtering (yes, self-censorship!). If they keep blocking it, I will change the tone of my writings there. Why should I keep quiet when they want to shut me up?

"fucking morons"? You are starting to sound like an American. Someday the Iranian people will be free. That will be a great day. I've read that most Iranian young people are unhappy with the theocratic totalitarian government that now runs Iran. The mullahs must go. They can't keep their smelly feet on the necks of the Iranian people forever. |

Hi Sanam, I was just reading Parastoo's blog and she said that her Persian blog is filtered too. Is there a new crackdown on blogging in general right now in Iran? I heard recently that high speed internet access was banned. What will the TechnoMullahs do next? Do you think that Ahmadinejad has anything to do with this? |

Hi - I'm writting to you from Paris. I'm more involved in the women's movements active in North Africa but at our meetings we quite often have Iranian women who share with us. That seems like a piece of good news for the long run. |

I am sorry to hear that your blog was filtered in Iran, but what can one expect? I hope that things will change there really soon. I lived in Isfahan in the late 1970's and had a nice time there, and would like to revisit it someday. |
